HarmonyOS 2.0.1 could be used on the Huawei Mate X3.
The Huawei Mate X3 foldable smartphone is said to be in the works as a successor to the Huawei Mate X2, which was released in February of last year. The key specifications of the Huawei Mate X3 have leaked online ahead of the official announcement. The handset is expected to be powered by a Kirin 9000 4G SoC. It is expected to have a 4,500mAh battery and to run the latest HarmonyOS 2.0.1 edition. In addition, the new Huawei foldable smartphone has been spotted on TENAA, confirming its impending arrival.
On the Chinese microblogging website Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station posted key specifications of the Huawei Mate X3. According to the source, the upcoming foldable phone will run on Hongmeng OS 2.0.1, which is a reference to HarmonyOS 2.0.1. On the new phone, Huawei is said to combine BOE Display’s PWM (pulse-width modulation) screen with an ultra-thin glass display. It could be powered by the Kirin 9000 4G SoC. The Huawei Mate X3 is said to have a 4,500mAh battery as well.
Separately, the Huawei Mate X3 with model number PAL-AL00 has been certified by China’s state telecommunications certification authority TENAA. According to the listing, the phone will have 4G connectivity as well as dual-SIM support. The listing also shows the HarmonyOS 2.0.1 operating system and a 4,500mAh battery on the upcoming foldable Huawei handset. GizmoChina discovered the listing first. It should be noted that Huawei has not yet released any information about the launch or details about the Huawei Mate X3.
To recall, the Huawei Mate X2 foldable smartphone was released in China in February of last year for CNY 17,999 (roughly Rs. 2.01 lakh) for the 8GB + 256GB variant and CNY 18,999 (roughly Rs. 2,12 lakh) for the 8GB + 512GB variant.
The Huawei Mate X2 has a primary 6.45-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. When unfolded, it reveals an 8-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 9000 SoC and a Mali-G78 GPU. It has 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage that can be expanded using Huawei’s Nano Memory card (up to 256GB). The Huawei Mate X2 has a quad rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 16-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel telephoto shooter, and an 8-megapixel super zoom camera. It has a 16-megapixel sensor. The Huawei Mate X2 comes with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 55W fast charging.
